Impact Washington Announces Passing of President and Center Director Bruce “Tab” Wilkins
With great sadness, Impact Washington announces that Bruce “Tab” Wilkins, President and Center Director of Impact Washington, passed away in a tragic skiing accident on Saturday, March 23rd.
With more than 30 years of experience — both in the public and private side of the partnership in the MEP program — Tab stepped into the leadership role as the Center Director for Impact Washington in November 2018. On behalf of the Board of Directors, the Impact Washington Management Team and employees, we extend our deepest sympathies to Tab’s family.
Tab was a well-known, highly respected visionary leader who had exceptional talent for creating possibilities. He initiated and developed many of the MEP program’s foundational efforts. He was an avid outdoorsman and gave of himself and his time generously, serving on the Boards of numerous organizations for which he cared passionately. He was quite simply an amazing human being,
Dr. Joseph A. Heim, Chairman of the Impact Washington Board of Directors, issued the following statement on behalf of the Board of Directors: “With the passing of Tab Wilkins, Impact Washington has suffered a major loss. Notwithstanding that loss, the Board is confident that the Impact Washington team will capitalize on Tab’s vision to ensure the continuity of the strategic direction and operations of Impact Washington.”
