Gillaspie Mfg. Inc. is recognized as a high quality production manufacturer of custom Precision Metal Stampings, Precision Thin Sheet Metal parts, 3 Axis CNC Vertical Machining and Value Added Assembly since 1982. We offer DFM assistance and design & build our own in-house Tooling & Fixturing and we have the capability to provide prototypes as well. We use both Solidworks 2012 and AutoCAD 2000.
We are a full service manufacturer, specializing in stamping thin metals from .003” – .100” and typical parts are less than hand size (micro-miniature components, battery contacts, emi/rfi shielding, grounding clips, brackets, clips, formed flat metal springs, covers etc.). We have our own Wire EDM and three 3 Axis CNC Vertical Machining Center (one heavy duty used for tooling, fixturing & short run production, a high speed for medium production and an ultra high speed with pallet changer for high volume). We utilize Komatsu presses from 45 – 80 tons (including an AC Servo press), Toyokoki Servo Press Brake and Akira Seiki/Fanuc Robodrill Machining Centers equipment. We also have our own in-house Heat Treating for some Tool Steel & Age Hardening. Additionally, we look for ways to save our Customers both money and lead time, by providing some value add assembly (typically installing hardware, shielding, sub-assemblies and packaging per assembly line requirements).
Gillaspie Mfg. Inc. has the Quality disciplines in place to ensure “Total Customer Satisfaction” from quote to “On-Time” delivery via different JIT and Kanban programs. Our quality system provides FAI, AS9102 reports, Process Capability Study reports (which must be approved by our Customers prior to production) and both In-process and Final Inspection. Our inspection equipment includes a Micro-Vu precision measuring system, 20X Optical Comparator, Pins Gages, Micrometers, Calipers and a 10/30X Microscope, . The Quality Policy, Practices and Operating Procedures are established to maintain a consistent standard and guide line to prevent and/or detect any Non-Conformance. The provisions of our Quality manual are in accordance with (modeled on) MIL-I-45208A process standard and will apply to all contracts except prototypes. All prototypes will be treated on an “As Required” basis.
The results of our Customer Survey completed in March ’12, showed that our average rating was 89.23% across all areas (Service/Responsiveness; Quality; Pricing; On-Time Delivery; Engineering/Tooling). Our Highest Priority is that of Total Customer Satisfaction.
