We are kicking off Manufacturing Week in Washington today! As an organization committed to amplifying the importance of manufacturing, we’re thrilled to spotlight the incredible opportunities it holds for the next generation of talent. This year has been a remarkable journey for the industry, and we’re proud of the strides we have made.

Small and medium-sized manufacturers form the backbone of Washington's economy, driving innovation, job creation, and workforce development. Across industries—from aerospace to food production, from wood products to advanced materials—Washington’s manufacturers employ over 271,000 people and contribute more than $60 billion in goods annually to the state’s economy. These businesses fuel job creation and workforce development, setting the stage for the future of Washington's talent.

During this Manufacturing month, we’re excited to collaborate with you to highlight key events, share valuable resources, and celebrate the talent behind Washington’s manufacturing success. Together, we will continue strengthening and growing a more dynamic and innovative manufacturing ecosystem.

Get Ready for Manufacturing Day on October 4th, 2024!

Held annually on the first Friday in October with events continuing throughout the month, MFG Day—National Manufacturing Day—showcases modern manufacturing careers and the industry's vital role in the economy. Thousands of companies and educational institutions host events all throughout the month of October. Raising Awareness For Local Manufacturers With AWB's Manufacturing Week Bus Tour

Impact Washington is proud to partner with the Association of Washington Business (AWB) for the annual manufacturing week bus tour from October 2-9, 2024. This is the 5th year we've partnered with AWB. We'll visit many industries, from agriculture to aerospace, and more! 

We will travel across the state, visiting the Greater Vancouver Area, Yakima, Tri-Cities, Pullman, Spokane, Moses Lake, Olympia, Renton, Seattle, Arlington, Monroe, Everett, and Burlington.
