Under the wing of Bella Luz Studio there are two distinct artistic divisions:Bella Luz Studio line of decorative lights and cards: Nightlights, table lanterns, holiday light covers and cards. This is the production line of work. Every piece starts off as a pastel and colored pencil drawing, which is reproduced photographically onto a translucent film. For the lights, the print of my artwork is housed in a handworked copper frame made of 90 to 95% recycled metal. Low-wattage lights illuminate the artwork. For the cards, the artwork is reproduced as size A2 cards. A fancy copper foil filigree edges each card. Cards come with coppery paper envelope.Fine craft one-of-a-kind mixed media illuminated sculptures: In these pieces my glass panels which are fused and painted are set into unusual frameworks, such as old suitcases and wooden cigar boxes. Openings edged in copper and beads are cut into the frameworks, the glass set inside, and illuminated with low-wattage bulbs.
