Impact Washington Interim Center Director Assumes Position as Full-Time Director

Tuesday, August 20, 2019 | News Release

Impact Washington would like to announce that Deloit R Wolfe, Jr. will assume the position of President/Center Director effective immediately. Wolfe has served as the Interim Director of the Center since March 2019.

“When we brought Deloit on as Interim Center Director, it was with the hope that he would become the Center’s new leader. During his interim months, Deloit has demonstrated the skills, leadership, and knowledge required to lead our evolving organization and work with the NIST-MEP National organization,” said Joe Heim, Impact Washington Chairman of the Board

Deloit has had a long career leveraging his leadership skills to support and advance the growth of Fortune 100 consumer product and media companies.  After nearly three decades of serving in various corporate positions, he joined Impact Washington in 2013.

“I could not possibly be more pleased,” said Deloit. “When the Board offered me the position, I responded with an enthusiastic ‘Yes!’ I am privileged to be associated with Impact Washington and look forward to serving the organization, our clients, and partners with professionalism, dedication, and passion.”

The interim period allowed Deloit an opportunity to listen and observe the needs of the Center and its clients, and with the presence of an active Board, engage resource partners and professional staff, stabilize operations, reinvigorate community relationships, and influence the development of programs to focus on the Center’s mission and strategic goals.

“The Board is excited to continue charting Impact Washington’s path forward with Deloit as our President/Center Director,” noted Heim. “With Deloit’s leadership and contributions from our professional staff and resource partners, Impact Washington’s ability to fulfill our mission is stronger than ever.”

As part of the transition into his new role, Impact Washington has hired board member Michael McNutt to backfill some of Deloit’s responsibilities. McNutt works with the regional Account Executives and community partners to ensure programs and projects exceed clients’ expectations.

Impact Washington also announces that Margaret Philip is leaving as Controller. The Board and Deloit would like to thank Margaret for contributing to the Center and wish her well for the future.
