Lean Six Sigma (LSS) is a well-known approach for achieving operational excellence that does more than simply improve production processes. LSS combines the process improvement benefits of Lean with the statistical process control (SPC) benefits of Six Sigma.

It takes advantage of the “value-added” focus of Lean while maintaining the statistical rigors of Six Sigma. This series will include four full-day training sessions with three weeks between sessions for participants to complete project work that is an essential part of the LSSGB program.

About the course:

  • Participants learn the principles of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma using the DMAIC process.
  • Experienced Lean Six Sigma practitioners teach the classes and support participants in their project work.
  • Course material, simulations, and exercises are relevant to the regional industry.
  • LSS project work allows the participant to apply class learning to an actual project in their organization.

Join our 2-day online workshop on Implementing SQF Systems, a Manufacturing Food Safety Course. This workshop is your first step in achieving and maintaining SQF certification by understanding the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing.

Designed to fulfill the training requirements, this class is designed to prepare individuals to take the SQF Practitioner test. As a SQF Practitioner, you are responsible for developing, aligning, verifying, maintaining, and otherwise supporting the sites SQF food safety system and it’s culture of food safety. All SQF certified sites must have at least 2 SQF Practitioners overseeing the SQF Food Safety System. Many facilities have multiple practitioners contributing to the SQF system to ensure management commitment and coverage of the entire system.

This hands-on workshop uses the official SQF training materials but adds real-life practical advice to fulfill requirements of the code taught by an Official SQF Training Center. With a focus on continuous improvement, practical exercises provide attendees the opportunity to align their existing program with the SQF Code and build skills that will enable an environment where food safety is a top priority.

Students will get digital copies of the manual, practice test, and an attendance certificate with the SQF Institute logo, our logo, and license number.

Who Should Attend:

  • This course is recommended for sites seeking certification, maintaining certification, or anyone interested in learning more about the SQF program and certification.
  • Anyone who wants to become a SQF Practitioner

It is highly recommended that prior to attending the course the participant has had previous HACCP training.

At the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Create, improve, or align existing food safety programs to reflect the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code.
  • Understand the interconnectedness of the SQF programs and how each contribute to an SQF System supported by a culture of food safety.
  • Outline actions to ensure the success of the SQF System.
  • This course is speci?cally tailored for post-farm gate food manufacturing (Food Sector Categories 7-22, 25, & 31-34)
