Impact Washington, an affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Manufacturing Extension Program (NIST MEP), is pleased to announce Roger Peters as Account Executive to support manufacturers in King County, effective immediately. He will focus on growing relationships with the county ecosystem and delivering strong client engagement and impact for the region.

As a small business owner and a large franchise partner of over 25 years, Roger's unique background allows him to easily communicate and connect with individuals across diverse social and economic settings. He has helped hundreds of under-served and under-represented community members gain employment and start their advanced manufacturing careers on the path to a sustainable future for our state. He held leadership roles within the Machinists Institute and Aerospace Joint Apprentice Committee (AJAC), where he was able to work with and support some of Washington's most prominent manufacturers.

"Roger is an ideal addition to Impact Washington due to his expertise which spans a variety of industries," states Damon C. Nix, CSP, Director of Business Development, Impact Washington. "He is a great communicator, and his experience in business development and manufacturing will enable us to grow our partnerships with manufacturers across King County. We are grateful to have him join the team."

He is known among industry partners, and state agencies for his open collaboration, mentorship, and hard work ensuring the state solves its workforce challenges. Through pre-employment, apprenticeship, continuing education, and connecting companies with the high-demand workforce, his efforts have led to registering over 1,000 apprentices into manufacturing careers within our state.

The Impact Washington team looks forward to the industry knowledge that Roger will bring to the organization and welcomes him to the Impact Washington – NIST MEP family.
