The first proclamation for #MFGDay16 came from right here in Washington state when Governor Jay Inslee declared that Friday, October 7 would officially be Manufacturing Day.

The best way to celebrate Manufacturing Day is to host an event. It can be public, private, big, small, even virtual. Your target audience can be community members, the media, students, and educators. By attending an event, members of the community will learn about real career opportunities, training, and resources – all close to home!

To make planning your event even easier, if you register your event with the AWB Institute, they will take care of registering your event with MFGDay.com and feature your event on the #MFGisWA webpage on AWB.org and AWBInstitute.org.  You can also find resources, such as flyers, logos, and other information, all aimed specifically at Washington State manufacturers.
