In recognition of the importance of the manufacturing industry in Washington State, Governor Jay Inslee issued a Ceremonial Proclamation recognizing October as Manufacturing Month.
Governor Inslee signed the Proclamation on September 27th and encouraged all people in our state to join him in this special observance.
"Washington's manufacturing sector has long been a key driver of our state's economy," said Deloit R. Wolfe, Jr., President and Center Director of Impact Washington. "Manufacturing creates economic prosperity and opportunities benefiting communities across our state. We are proud to work with and serve this community that makes our lives better and strengthens our economy. Help us celebrate the incredible contributions, and impact manufacturing makes throughout the Evergreen State."
Manufacturing Month in Washington and National Manufacturing Day aims to raise awareness of the achievements and workforce opportunities the industry provides throughout the state.
